Viggo self published his first book, a book of poems called Ten Last Night in 1993. According to him he gave most of the 100 copies to his friends and family. It is even said that he would sneak into book stores and give away copies to customers for free.
Today Viggo dosen't have to go to such extreams to have his unique artistic vision seen by others.
Mortensen has now reached world wide acclaim through his acting talents and this has given him the oportunity to show the general public
the poetry, photography & paintings which
he has been creating much of his life. Art and poetry which till now had only been known to the
LA art community.
In June 2002 Viggo Mortensen opened "Perceval Press" as a way not just to publish his own books but more importantly to give
an opertunity for other auothrs & artist with unique visions to be published too.
