Gimli Bio
He was born in 2879 to Golum, a nobel of Erebor.
Gimli is of the Dwarven race. The drwarves of Middle Earth are the most ancient and long lived people of the land.
They are a tough, stought people who are shorter than humans but taller than Hobbits. They inhabit the hidden places of the world in huge underground cave
systems and tunnel complexes. Dwarves are famed for their great prowess in battle and for their legendary skills in mining and working with both metal
and stone. They have crafted extraordinary artifacts in their smiths including fine axes, swords and jewelry. They are also known for their monumental architecture far beneath the earth.
Gimli traveled to Rivendalle with his father and other Drwaven nobles when the creation of the fellowship was being decided.
It is he who is chosen to represent the Dwarven race among the 'Fellowship', though he like most Dwarves has a deep seeded mistrust of Elves and their sorcerous ways.
Inspite of his bad-tempered and cantankerous ways Gimli soon becomes a close friend to Legolas.
