Frodo Baggins Bio Frodo was born in 2968 the only son of
Drogo Baggins and Primula
Brandybuck. His parents both died in
the year 2980, so he was adopted by
his cousin Bilbo Baggins, the wealthy
bachelor. Bilbo brings Frodo to live with him at his large house
Bag End not out of charity but because he out of his many relatives is the only one to show spirit.
Frodo grows up into a sensitive, serious and intelligent hobbit still fascinated by his uncle's library and stories
of his exotic travels across Middle Earth.
Because of his isolated upbringing other hobbits feel that Frodo has had his mind turned by Bilbo's wild stories and his odd passion for travel (hobbits are by nature sedentary creatures). And it's true, like his uncle Frodo has developed a taste for travel and exploration.
But Frodo has no idea of the long journey that he will soon take.
When Frodo reaches the age of manhood Bilbo decides to go live with the Elves and leaves all his belongings including Bag End
and an unusual gold ring to Frodo. Soon Frodo discovers the dark power and immense danger that this ring holds to him and all of Middle Earth. And his long journey to destroy the 'One Ring', begins....
